Protection of Remnant Vegetation in Grassy Box Woodlands

Areas on the ‘Bewley’ property have been identified as part of the endangered grassy box woodlands eco system. These areas are being managed in such a way to protect this valuable resource. This includes fencing off vulnerable areas and strategic grazing of some areas to encourage desirable native plants whilst controlling invasive weeds.

Native birds are just some of the animals that find safe habitat in this area. These birds then feed on the adjacent production land forming part of our IPM program.

With over 60 native plant species already identified, and many more waiting to be found, and its unique rock formations over 2km long, this area is truly amazing.

This area has been protected under an agreement with the NSW State Government
